99.9% scores on SAT, LSAT, GRE, GMAT

Jason graduated with honors and distinction with a major in English from Stanford University, where he also studied honors physics and advanced mathematics. As a graduate student in English at Stanford, Jason led freshman English seminars and tutored for the SAT, LSAT, GRE, and GMAT. Prior to law school, Jason scored a perfect 800 on the SAT I Math, the SAT II Math Level II, the GRE Math and Reason sections, as well as scoring three separate perfect 800s on the GMAT. On the LSAT, Jason scored in the 99.9% twice, once in 1999, and once in 1995, scoring a 175 and 178 out of 180.

In 2000, Jason was accepted to Columbia Law School were he earned distinction as a Stone Scholar in 2001 and 2002. His first summer at Columbia, Jason worked as corporate counsel at General Electric during the attempted Honeywell merger. The following summer, Jason worked with world renowned defense attorney Leonard Weinglass, who represented the Chicago Seven, and the defendant in the Pentagon Papers case. In 2004, Jason was admitted to practice law in California where he worked at Weil, Gotshal and Manges, a top ten world wide law firm, whose clients included Sony, Broadcom and Applera. In 2006, Jason was admitted to practice law in New Jersey, where he still handles a number of property and civil rights cases. Over the last fourteen months, Jason has focused his efforts on founding and running Focused Coaching. He has always had a passion for teaching and mentoring and Focused Coaching has offered him the perfect outlet for this passion.

During the last year, results for Jason’s private SAT sessions have been remarkable. For students with whom Jason has met individual for more than 20 hours, the score improvement has been 9.7 points per hour. The average score increase for Jason’s students has been 297.3 pts on the SATs. Jason has had three students in the last year improve their scores by more than 400 points. In the college preparatory arena, indeed in almost any arena, Jason’s background and credentials are unmatched.
